Happy New Year Everyone!!!

By popular vote, the official date for the reunion will end up being the last weekend of July (The 27-29th of 2006). Please check the blog periodically and we will have several updates in the coming months that will provide everyone with more information about events, hotels, costs, etc. We will also be mailing out a flyer with specifics and your registration to attend down the road. For that reason, it is so important that we get everyone's mailing address. Please continue to pass along this blog site to other classmates that have not seen or posted on this site!

Thanks for all your votes on the polls! Right now we have a conflict in that the votes are divided on inviting other classes. It's about 50/50 on those that want other classes to attend and those that just want our class. Obviously we need more votes or we need a compromise. Perhaps we offer just one event that would be an "all classes" event or we will host an unofficial gathering for anyone that wants to attend. In any event, we welcome your comments on this issue. Feel free to email or post any ideas or thoughts. Perhaps we will have another voting opportunity??

From the planning perspective, we are always open to ideas about the type of events to offer at the reunion.
We have two main goals:
To have a great reunion with excellent participation
To offer a variety of events!
Currently we are brainstorming on events that will include the entire family and some events for just classmates and spouses. We are also planning some optional events like golfing, school tours, etc. Not everyone is expected to attend each event. We also want to build in some "down-time" for everyone to have a chance to catch up one-on-one with friends, or family.

Current event ideas are as follows:
Dinner & Dance
Family Picnic at City Park
Afternoon at the lake with families
Townhouse or Elks Lodge reunion dance
Bowling tournament
Tours of the school for classmates and family
Farewell breakfast or brunch
Golf tournament
Luncheon
Welcome reception

Please submit additional ideas! Feel free to email me directly with ideas and I will update a list. We may offer a poll on the events to get an idea of what everyone would like to do!
